RomeToGo is the result of the incredible passion that its founder, Mauro Poma, has for Rome. Mauro has worked as a qualified, professional tour guide in Rome for many years, and he is very well acquainted with the tourism industry in the Eternal City. One day, he decided to offer private tours to fortunate clients, who don’t simply want to see the marvels of Rome, but want to experience them, understand them, and fully appreciate them. He has personally chosen the guides he works with based on their skills, professionality, vast knowledge, and capacity for engagement. Our focus is on the happiness and satisfaction of our customers. of 5 star reviews on TripAdvisor. He has a Bachelor degree in History of Art and a Master degree in Political Sciences.
He is the author of a few books: Discovering the Colosseum; Alla scoperta del Colosseo; I sette monumenti. Miti, verità e misteri dell'Antica Roma, Il Cibo dell'Impero. The latter has been published in October 2023 by the largest Italian publisher (Mondadori). He wrote several pieces about Ancient Rome and he actively cooperates with the Dante Alighieri, that is the most prestigious Italian cultural association in the world.
