Cancellation and refund policy

Cancellations received more than 8 days prior to tour commencement are fully refundable, with the exception of ticket costs (this applies if your chosen tour includes tickets that must be purchased in advance by RomeToGo). Cancellations received within 8 days of tour commencement are non-refundable. No shows or late arrivals are nonrefundable. Any amendments/cancellations must be communicated by e-mail to: info@rometogo.tours All RomeToGo tours are sold as a package; this means that there will be no refunds nor partial refunds should you decide not to utilize part of the tour. In some rare cases, the Tour Guide may cancel a tour due to extremely bad weather or other serious circumstances. Should this happen, you may choose between a full refund of all monies paid, rescheduling your tour, or credit towards an alternative tour. In the last case, if there is a difference in price between the two tours, this difference will be refunded to you by RomeToGo or paid by you, as applicable.

Participating in guided tours

After payment is made, a confirmation e-mail will be sent by RomeToGo with full details of the meeting point, exact start time of the tour, and any other relevant info. This is not only to inform you about the details of the tour, but constitutes an acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined below between you and RomeToGo. Please make sure you are carrying valid ID or passport with you on the day of the visit. Students need to bring valid student photo ID. Participants younger than 18 must also have valid photo ID. Please be punctual at meeting points. This is essential when timed-entry tickets have been purchased for you by RomeToGo. When participating in a tour, you are responsible for selecting a tour that suits your abilities, general wellness, and fitness level. Please take into consideration that RomeToGo sells mostly walking tours and a moderate/certain amount of walking is involved. RomeToGo is not liable for property damage or injuries as a result of (but not limited to): forces of nature; physical exertion for which a participant is not prepared; riots or civil unrest; terrorism; breakdown of equipment; overconsumption of alcoholic beverages. RomeToGo strongly recommends that guests arrange travel insurance to cover delays or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, or those beyond our control (e.g., strikes, inclement weather, seismic events). It is also recommended that guests arrange personal insurance to cover expenses related to loss of baggage or personal belongings, or any other travel mishaps. Participants agree that RomeToGo cannot be held responsible for any such unforeseen circumstances.


When booking a tour on our website, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, phone number, and/or credit card information. Your personal information provided during the booking process will only ever be used by RomeToGo solely and exclusively for the purpose of booking one or more tours. We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. All credit card information remains confidential and is safeguarded by our secure server.
